Questions about the Job portal

Will the job portal always be free?

Building it wasn't free, but we see the job portal as a service to startups in Europe. Our intention is to grow with startups and be there when they need more complex services such as recruiting or headhunting.

How do I apply for a job?

As an applicant, you don't need to register or fill out a time-consuming template.  Simply refer to the "How to Apply" information at the bottom of each job posting and contact the startup directly.  Typically startups provide an email address and in some cases a phone number.

What will you do with my CV if I submit it using the "Share CV" form?

We use our growing CV database to match candidates with startups when we are asked to do headhunting. We never forward your details to anyone without obtaining your prior approval.

How do I share a job with my contacts?

You can either post a job to a network (Twitter, Linkedin or Facebook, assuming you have an account) by clicking on one of the buttons at the top right of the job posting or forward it by email using the email button.

What is a "Widget" and how do I use it?

A widget is a little piece of code which you can insert in your blog or website (and in some cases social network, for example Ning) which will display something or perform an action.  That is how people embed YouTube videos on their sites.  Our widget allows you to publish a selection of jobs from Startupjobs.eu and links back to this site.  It's an easy way to support startups in Europe by helping them promote their open positions.
